Aubade Productions is a UK-based production company specialising in documentary for both film and television. With a particular focus on international co-productions, Aubade develops powerful narratives that illuminate the relationship between art and politics while amplifying marginalised voices.
Alice Figes
Alice is a filmmaker, journalist and academic based in London. She developed her first screenplay with DNA Films (known for Trainspotting and Ex Machina). Since 2018, she has produced and directed a series of short films in both fiction and non-fiction. Alice is completing her PhD at the University of Cambridge's POLIS faculty on a YouGov scholarship, researching culture, spirituality and utopia in Latin American and Brazilian social movements. Her writing has appeared in the Open Democracy, Novara, DAZED, Internazionale and the FT. A Viagem das Horas is Alice's first feature-length documentary.
Josh Tautz
Josh Tautz is a producer, DJ and label manager at Far Out Recordings, the London-based independent label. Far Out specialises in both new and archival Brazilian music, working with artists including Marcos Valle, Azymuth, Hermeto Pascoal and Joyce Moreno. Josh has produced radio for BBC 6 Music, NTS Radio and Worldwide FM, and DJ’d at venues including the Jazz Cafe, Earth Hackney and Ronnie Scott’s. He also has a BA in Politics and is currently completing a MA in Law. Josh and Alice founded the London-based Aubade Productions in 2025.
